Textie works just fine in the UK for emailing people though would be much more useful if you could use it to send a standard sms to people and their replies would come back via Textie and the push notification service. Is that something that might be put into the app at some point?
I understand you can already text some US mobiles so is it just a matter of time?

    The short explanation is that European carriers don't have the free SMTP gateways we like to use open by default. We're looking into alternatives, but have not announced anything.
