Enabling Push Notifications on Apple iOS

If you are not receiving push notifications for the Textie Messaging app, the first thing to check is that you have system notifications turned on for the application. Open Apple's "Settings" app on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, and tap on "Notifications". From there you should be able to turn on alerts, badges, and sounds for Textie.
